Our Mission

We are fighting for our future. And we do just that, each and every day! Our fight is for better health care, livable wages, improved benefits, pension protection and safety on the job. We are fighting for our future on the job – in the community – in the political arena.

Our Objective

One of our key objectives is to organize the unorganized. Not only does that improve the working conditions of the workers without a union, it also enhances the lives of workers who already have a union. As wages and benefits improve in your area, everyone benefits.

State Councils

We have established State Councils with State Council Directors in most of the region’s area including:  Illinois, Joe Costigan; Indiana, John Lacey; Michigan, Int’l. Vice President Joe Daugherty; Minnesota, Int’l. Vice President Jaye Rykunyk; Missouri, Int’l. Vice President Tim Luebbert; Ohio, Dallas Sells; and Wisconsin, Chris Rose. State Councils were devised to coordinate bargaining, servicing and mobilization campaigns, as well as build political strength and fight for issues of importance to working people on a more regional basis.
