She is survived by her son and daughter and many other relatives and friends.

The union was lucky to have Ellen and we, her brothers and sisters in the labor movement will miss her tremendously. She left us too soon but we will always carry with us her fierce determination and unwavering loyalty to the cause of justice for working families.”
